Giving Peas a chance

Little A, I am happy to say is now consistently eating his solids. Cereal in the morning, one whole jar for lunch, another for dinner. Of course, with mommy's milk in between, and always, always cheerios.

He, at least, is giving peas a chance. He LOVES his peas. Green peas, on the other hand. Nope, na-ah, no way, not a chance. I remember Mr. D being the same :-)

Apples 'n' Oranges, an online store that sells kids and baby clothes, is offering a chance to win the onesie to anyone who writes about it on their personal blog. But even if you're not a blogger, you can still enter if you email the company and "pinky swear" that you'll tell at least one other person about the contest.

My Baby this Week

I receive weekly updates from BabyCenter.com regarding what to expect regarding Little A's development.

A few moments ago, I clicked on the email received, and it read something like that:

"One day you'll walk into your baby's room and find him standing up grinning at you. Many 8-month-olds are strong enough to pull up onto their feet and stay there by holding on to you or a piece of furniture. A somewhat comical aspect of this wonderful development is that some babies know how to get up — but not back down again. They will stand and stand as long as they can hold on, and finally either tumble down or begin to cry to be "rescued."

And I grinned :-)
This morning, at 6:16AM, I walk into Aidan's room, responding to his, well, there's no other to describe it,his wailing, to find him standing up in his crib, holding on to the railing!
